Event Description
Description:  This course developed by Michael Furrey from ILM Services will cover the basics of water
and wastewater chemistry. The instructor will cover the basic chemistry for disinfection, chemical 
removal for surface water, groundwater and wastewater. Special emphasis will be placed on the chemistry 
of emerging contaminants of concern in our environment as well as the chemicals used in treatment.


Instructor: Michael J. Furrey, ILM Academy
Michael J Furrey is the former Owner/President and private consultant for his own company; a NJDEP certified laboratory called Agra Environmental and Laboratory Services after working for 12 years for a major public water utility, the North Jersey District Water Commission. He is the founder of ILM Services. He is a 1987 graduate of Cook College, Rutgers University with a BS in Environmental Chemistry.
