Cybersecurity vulnerabilities are now the most prevalent threat to the operation and sustainability of drinking water and wastewater service providers in the United States. USEPA, FBI and other agencies report that our systems are among the highest profile targets in the nation. Each month brings thousands of attempts at intrusions. Some recent attempts have been successful. They have disrupted service, damaged infrastructure and endangered public health.
During this course, we will discuss the threat landscape, emphasize the importance of cybersecurity measures, provide information about recent intrusions and explain the steps you can take to protect your system and customers.
