Event Description
DESCRIPTION:
This course provides comprehensive instruction on pipe tapping techniques in the water and wastewater industry. Participants will learn about the different types of taps, common machines used, and the issues and maintenance associated with them. The course covers proper tapping techniques, including the use of saddles, and pipeline considerations. There will be a detailed demonstration of tapping and service line instruction, including valves, fittings, and connections. Hands-on sessions will allow participants to practice tapping using the B101, D-5, and EZ tap machines on 6” DIP and 6” C900 PVC pipes. By the end of the course, participants will have gained practical experience and knowledge to perform pipe tapping effectively and safely.
