Course Description
This course provides students with information about the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (USEPA) Response Protocol Toolbox covering necessary steps to be taking during the response and recovery of Water and Wastewater Utilities. Participants will be guided through the various issues concerning preparing for, responding to, and recovering from incidents affecting water and/or wastewater facilities. The course introduces the various natural and man-made (accidental or intentional) hazards to which water and wastewater systems may be vulnerable and the potential effects the hazards may induce. Planning for and managing incidents are discussed, as well as disaster mitigation, response, and recovery specific to drinking water and wastewater systems.

14.0 Hours toward license renewal for NJ Certified Public Works Managers: DLGS-NJWA-273 (5.0 Tech, 5.0 Management, 4.0 Gov.)
Date and Location: May 14 & 15, 2025, Hightstown Fire Station, 140 North Main Street, Hightstown, NJ.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
• Plan to arrive at 8:00 am. Latecomers cannot be admitted.
• This is a FEMA Certification Course. FEMA courses require participants/students to establish a FEMA Student ID Number.

• Licensed Operators desiring TCHs, and CPWMs credit must attend BOTH days.
• Participants must bring a digital device (cell phone, tablet, or computer) to class to take the Pre/Post Test
