This discussion covers the maintenance and management of assets spanning the water system, from the treatment plant to the distribution network (including water storage tanks and reservoirs) and onward to the wastewater plant. Key topics include tank asset management, and the rehabilitation of water mains and potable pipelines using Spray-In-Place-Pipe (SIPP) technology. Emphasis is placed on inspection processes for all assets to ensure structural integrity, performance, and compliance with regulations. Additionally, the discussion highlights strategies for improving water quality within the distribution system and storage tanks. This includes methods for TTHM (Total Trihalomethane) removal, as well as the implementation of active and residual chlorine control systems.
